Saturday, April 2, 2005,
Goliath Visual Space will host BENADDICTION
III, the third annual fundraising benefit to support Goliath’s
exhibitions and public programs. The benefit evening will include a
silent auction and raffle of artworks donated by over 100 artists that
will be on view in the gallery and through the Goliath website prior
to the benefit evening. All proceeds will benefit Goliath Visual Space.
The BENADDICTION SILENT AUCTION
will feature the following works:
Hiroshi Sugimoto’s U.A. Walker, New
York, 1978, photogravure print, signed, part of the ongoing photo-series
Theaters.
Three boxed sets of original works on paper, from a series of thirteen,
created for the recent Goliath exhibition,

Boxes. Each set contains one work by each of the following
artists: Hamra Abbas, Astrid Bowlby, James Cullinane, Erik Guzman, Folkert
de Jong, David Krippendorff, Robert Lemon, James Nelson, Taney Roniger,
Rene Trevino.
The
BENADDICTION RAFFLE will include flat works donated by over 100
artists, available for purchase through tickets at the benefit event.
Tickets will be available for $100 each and every ticket-holder will
receive an art work, to be selected when the ticket number is drawn
and called. If you would like to buy a ticket and you can't be there
in person, please email goliath@goliath777.com
to arrange for us to make a selection based on a list that you provide.
Raffle tickets may
be purchased in person at the benefit event, reserved in advance via
email at goliath@goliath777.com,
or purchased in advance by credit card through PayPal. Payments may
be made by cash, credit card or check.
Goliath Visual Space
is a not-for-profit, artist-run organization in Greenpoint, Brooklyn established
to provide a fertile and creative environment for artists and to foster
knowledge and communication about the arts. Since its establishment in
1999, Goliath has presented the works of 112 emerging and unrepresented
artists from 12 countries in over 20 solo and small group exhibitions.
In addition to its exhibition schedule, Goliath presents an ongoing series
of readings, performances and talks.
