The art exhibition entitled, Parts, will be divided into a four part show, to span the year; evolving as the year progresses, the exhibition will present emerging art; with each show changing in content, exhibitors, and location.
Parts addresses the issue of fragmentation in our modern day culture. With a collective push towards material and conceptual innovation, the artists in Parts exhibit the risks, examination, and velocity necessary in keeping pace with the mercuric pulse of our times.
The various interpretations of Parts will be challenged and depicted differently by each artist. Yet, whereas the artists in this show may differ in style, the ties they share in estheticism, education, art history, and social climate forge a togetherness, where one interdepends on the other.
Works in the Parts show were created in a bold attempt to make a concrete statement about this abstract issue affecting society, especially within the youth culture. Whereas Parts does not intend to solve the issue at hand, it promises to entice, provoke, and invite the viewer to decipher this visual fragmentation.
